William R. Kerr, 74, of Wharton Township passed away on Sunday April 14, 2024 at LaFayette Manor.
He was born May 22, 1949 in Waynesburg, PA, the son of the late Rodney I. and Lois “Boots” Kerr and son-in-law to Jack (Buck) and Debbie Guthrie.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Gary W. Grooms; stepmother Virginia Curtis Kerr; and stepbrother Richard Curtis.
William is survived by his wife Jackie Kerr; his two fur kids Petie and Sarah Mae; sister Deborah (Lewis) Crouse; sister-in-law Tracie Guthrie; niece Ruth E. Grooms; nephews Darren (Natalie) Crouse, Travis (Amy) Crouse, and Ronald Bryant; great nieces and nephews, Sophie, Arielle, Levi, Caleb, and Mallory Crouse; stepsister Karen King; Stepbrother John (Cindy) Curtis; and step sister-in-law Ellen Curtis; and lifelong friends Michael Gearing, Alan(Jennifer) Fike and Greg(Christina) Iversen.
William worked for Nemacolin Woodlands for 25 years and loved to golf and gamble.
He was a graduate of Penn State University and was a member of Wharton Township Hunting and Fishing Club.
Family and friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Wednesday April 17 from 6pm-8pm.
Interment will be held privately.
