Wilbur R. ("Bill") Casteel

Wilbur R. (Bill) Casteel of Hopwood, PA, passed on January 16, 2026. He was 93 years old.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Chester Earl and Marie Casteel; sisters Sue Jones, Maxine Richards; and his brother Scott Casteel.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Barbara Weaver Casteel, and his four children, Holly J. McFarland (Ken), Michelle R. Zehala (John), Eric P. Casteel (Linda) and Todd D. Casteel (Beth). Bill is survived by nine grandchildren, Clinton Zehala, Allison Holzshu (Chad), Ashley McFarland, Danielle Zehala, Jordan Casteel, Amanda Miller (Terry) Anna Casteel, Joseph Casteel, Faith Casteel; and eight great grandchildren.

Bill was a member of the Central Christan Church of Uniontown, PA. He was a local electrical contractor for 40 years. An avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Laurel Lodge 651, F&AM. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean conflict.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, PA on Tuesday January 20, from 4-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday January 21 from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 10am with Rev. Gary Workman officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
