Tricia Nicole Sokol, age 38, was peacefully welcomed home into the loving embrace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Uniontown Hospital.
Born on July 29, 1986, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Tricia was a lifelong resident of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Laurel Highlands Senior High School with the Class of 2004.
Tricia had a heart full of compassion, a generous spirit, and a quick wit that endeared her to all who knew her. She was known for her loyalty, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. A devoted daughter, sister, and aunt, she cherished her family deeply—especially her two beloved nephews, Landon and Grayson. Her love extended to her treasured pets: Caramello, Sugar Pie, and Princess, who brought her comfort and joy.
She worked diligently throughout her life in various roles, always giving her best regardless of the task. Even in the midst of illness, Tricia remained committed and showed admirable perseverance, continuing to work with strength and determination.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jack Bell, and her paternal grandfather, Edward Sokol.
Tricia is survived by her parents, her father, Dana and her loving mother, Michele Sokol—affectionately known to her as her “old goat”; her sister, Samantha Sokol; her maternal grandmother, Rose Bell; and her paternal grandmother, Shirley Sokol. She is also survived by her cherished nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Family and friends will be received at the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home in Hopwood, PA, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor John Burdett officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Chalk Hill, PA.
Though her time on earth was brief, Tricia’s love, strength, and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
