Thelma I. Sarver

Thelma I. Sarver age 92 of Markleysburg, Pa, passed away Monday October 25, 2021 in Hillside Manor Nursing Home. Born April 4, 1929 in Confluence, Pa. she is the daughter of the late Charles Shipley and Clara (Bird) Shipley.

In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband Howard Sarver, brothers David Shipley, Ralph Shipley, and Forrest Shipley, and sisters Audrey (Mrs. Ralph) Rishel, of Hopwood, Pa, and Frances (Mrs. Roland) Williams of New Berlin, Ohio., daughter-in-law Carol Sarver, and son-in-law Brooks Fortner.

Thelma is survived by her children, Howard Sarver Jr, of Markleysburg, Pa, Clifford Sarver (Roberta) of Westminster, MD, Ronald Sarver (Barbara) of Markleysburg, Pa, Daniel Sarver of Fort Hill, Pa, Terry Sarver of Markleysburg, Pa, Debra (Sarver) Fortner of Green Cove Springs, FL, Patrick Sarver (Rene), Brenda (Sarver) Nicholson (Lewie) of Mill Run, Pa, and Lisa Sarver (Rodney Anderson). Also surviving are twenty-five grandchildren and fifty great grandchildren. Two siblings Alta (Mrs. Ralph) Mohr of Marietta, Ohio and Valace “Gene” Shipley of San Antonio, Texas, also survive.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON, PA on Friday October 29, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday October 30, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00, when a service will be held.
