Shirley V. Mitchell

Shirley Virginia Mitchell, 81, of Markleysburg, passed away on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born September 29, 1943 in Markleysburg, the daughter of the late Chelsea and Lorna (Fike) James.

Shirley is survived by her husband Henry Mitchell Sr.; children Henry Mitchell Jr. (Brenda) of Markleysburg and Jason Mitchell (Jamie) of Uniontown; grandchildren Ashley Danko (Troy), Bethany Spinetti (Nathan), Zachary Mitchell (Rachel), Eli Mitchell (Jalyn), and Anna Mitchell; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Mary Jarrell of Markleysburg and her children Melinda Appleby and Regina Frazee.

She was a member of Markleysburg Gospel Center Church and Markleysburg/ Henry Clay Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON on Monday May 12 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with Markleysburg/Henry Clay Ladies Auxiliary service at 7pm. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday May 13 in Markleysburg Gospel Center Church from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Martin Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery.
