Shirley Ann Biddle, 81, of Hopwood, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at WVU Uniontown Hospital.
Born on November 11, 1944, in Brier Hill, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Grace (Brockman) Umbel.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Umbel, Elizabeth “Faye” Weiler, Margaret “Bunny” Meyst.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard E. Biddle; her children, Dawn DeVries (Roland) of Delaware and Robin Pillar (Jeffrey) of Hopwood; her grandchildren, Melanie Batts (Nate), Kayla Knotts (Tyler), Tyler Pillar (Diana), and Cara Pillar; her great-grandchildren, Ivy Lynn Pillar, Shane, Londyn, Kinley and Kenzie Batts and Ryleigh Knotts; her sister, Gale Michalski (Patrick); several nieces and nephews; her close cousins, Garnet Wooten and George Noga; and our dear family friend, Carrie Walls.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Staci Morris, nurse Amy of Uniontown Hospital, Bob of Abby Home Care, and Toni of Illumia Health for their compassionate care and support.
Shirley was Protestant by faith and was formerly employed by Mount Macrina Manor.
Family and friends will be received at the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, on Thursday, June 4, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
