Robert Dwaine Rishel

Robert Dwaine Rishel 74 of Markleysburg passed away October 10th peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, & uncle. “Bob” will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.

Born May 6, 1949 in Confluence PA, he was the son of the late Melvin and Sara Jane (Campbell) Rishel.

He is survived by his wife Myra Lisa (King) Rishel, daughters Tanis Rishel Levander (AJ Berish) of Ohiopyle and Bobbi (Steve) Opar of Markleysburg; Four Grandchildren, Logan and Rylee Levander, Olivia and Jackson Opar; Sisters Barbara (David) Galloway of Chalk Hill and Betty (Mike) McCarty of Friendsville MD.

He served in Vietnam and received the Bronze Star.  He was a member for many years in the Markleysburg Henry Clay Volunteer Fire Company and a lifetime member of the AmVets Post 103 in Hopwood PA.

 Visitation will be held the DONALD R CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON today Thursday October 12, 2023 from 4pm-8pm and Friday October 13 from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 10am with Pastor Scott McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Thomas Cemetery with the AmVets post 103 conducting military honors.
