Mary J. Rankin

Mary J. Rankin, 75, of New Salem (Formerly of Farmington) passed away on Sunday June 30, 2024 at Uniontown Hospital.

She was born October 7, 1948 in Smithfield, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Goldie (Temple) Dankle.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband James Rankin; sister Charlotte Ludorsky; and brother Joseph Dankle.

Mary is survived by her loving children James Rankin (Tracy Lee) of Uniontown, Donald Rankin (Debbie) of Rever, PA, Delbert Rankin (Helen) of Markleysburg, Michael Rankin (Brittany) of Dunbar, PA, and Lori Rankin of New Salem; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Shirley Broadwater (Wayne) of Edison, OH; sister-in-law Christine Dankle of Smithfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, Smithfield PA.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Monday July 8 from 2-8pm and on Tuesday July 9 from 10-11am the hour of the funeral service with Pastor Kenneth Steele officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
