Mary Lou Lowe

Mary Lou Lowe, 88, of Chalk Hill, passed away on Tuesday March 17, 2026, at her home.

She was born September 11, 1937, in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late George and Elma (Cole) Shartzer.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Lowe; son Douglas Dennis; and sister Gloria Elliott.

Mary is survived by her children Todd Dennis (Amy) of Newell, PA and Robin Boob of Cresson, PA; stepdaughter Tina Lowe Pavlik of Uniontown; grandchildren Kelsey Sands (Alex), Bailey Dennis, Amanda Stossel (Dan Himmel) and Adam Stossel; great-grandchildren Kendra Karabinos, Rilyn Krug, Sage Stossel, Silas Stossel, and Nolan Sands; and sister June Osler.

She will be greatly missed by her family and her animals, her fur companion “Lucky” and grand dog “Ike” who sensed her animal love. She always fed the wildlife in her backyard.

Mary worked for Walden Bookstore for many years before her retirement.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON. All services will be private.
