            Margaret Ellen (Nicola) Moody, age 95 of Hopwood, Pa, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019 in the Okeechobee Florida Hospice, the Hamrick Home of Okeechobee.

She was born in Markleysburg, Pa, on Friday June 1, 1923. The daughter of the late Jerimiah Judson Nicola and Jessie Ellen (Harshburger) Nicola.

            She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years James H. Moody, her sisters and brothers, Rose Hutchinson, Earl J. Nicola, Ray Nicola, Pauline Collins, Marie Greathouse, Thelma Conway and Judson J. Nicola.

Margaret was a member of Shady Grove Church of the Brethren. She loved to quilt, crochet ,needlepoint and flower arranging and loved baking cookies for all occasions.

She is survived by her son Stanley R. Moody Sr. and his wife Lorraine of Farmington, Pa, her grandchildren Stanley R. Moody Jr. and his wife Shelly of Great Falls, Montana, Debra L. (Moody) Boyle and her husband Dave of Hoover, Alabama, James H. Moody and his wife Heather of Uniontown, Pa. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

            Margaret was a member of the Eastern Star Uniontown Chapter No.263 and Margaret E. Caven Shrine No. 42 W.S of J. of Uniontown.

Margaret was employed by G.C. Murphy Co. of Uniontown for 15 years.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Abundant life Church with Pastor Nick Cook officiating. Arrangements by Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home Hopwood, Pa.
