Mabel Dean 97 passed away on January 1, 2026, in the Laurel Ridge Care Center.
She was born in Green County on March 6, 1928, to Westley and Della (Gales) Williams.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Samuel W Dean; two sisters Margaret Brooks and Bessie Gabelt; brother George Williams; granddaughter Tamara L Harshman Deak; great-grandson David Smith and a great-great grandson Brennen Wilson.

She is survived by a sister Catherine McClintock of Confluence; daughter Doris (Edward) Harshman of Ohiopyle; son Samuel (Tracy) Dean of Chalkhill; grandchildren Tina Detrick of Uniontown, Derek (Kelly) Harshman of Uniontown, Sammi (Justin) Hostetler of Chalkhill and Bryan Burnsworth. Six great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, PA. All services will be private.
