Linda L. Gergely

Linda L. Gergely, 77, of Hopwood, PA, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.

She was born July 22, 1948 in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of Bridget (Coburn) Yauger of Lemont Furnace and the late James Yauger.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald W. Gergely of Hopwood; children Michael Gergely (Doug) of Uniontown and Amy Jackson (Chris) of Uniontown; brother Dale Yauger of Lemont Furnace; and several aunts and uncles.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Nativity R.C. Church. She devoted her life to Christ.

She liked to sit on the back porch and watch wildlife while drinking her hot tea. She enjoyed going to the casino and thrift shopping. She also loved to garden. She was a great cook, especially making her home-made pizza and loved to host family dinners.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, PA on Monday, November 3 from 4-8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4 from 9 a.m. until prayers of transfer at 10:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial in St. Mary’s R.C. Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
