John Robert Ludy “Pap Pap”, 75, of Uniontown (Formerly of Somerset) passed away on November 9, 2024.
He was born December 18, 1948 in Columbia Hospital Wilkinsburg, PA. John was the youngest son of the late Charles T. Ludy Sr. and Alice Mae (Leecy) Ludy.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Charles T. Ludy Jr. and infant nephew Ronnie Ludy.
John graduated from Somerset Area High School class of 1966 and from Penn State University class of 1971 with a Business/Accounting degree.
John is survived by his children Brian Robert Ludy and wife Danielle and daughter Cherie Lynn Ludy Trout both of Uniontown; friend and mother of his children Michele (Momo) Pokorny;
He was extremely proud of his grandchildren Noah Ludy, Evan Ludy, Isabella Trout, Isaac Trout, Brody Ludy, Chase Ludy, Maxwell Ludy, and Paige Miller all of Uniontown.
John is also survived by his dearest and best friend Anita Marie Matthews (Little Dear) also known as Bubba or Buddy and Anita’s daughter Michelle Miller and husband Randy all of Uniontown.
John and Anita had many treasured moments. He was always so proud of “Little Dear”.
Also surviving is sister-in-law Audry Ludy; nieces Linda (Bob) Baker and family; and Lois (Jay) Uphouse and family all of Somerset.
John lived a wonderful life, blessed with a good family and friends. He also believed he was guarded and directed by many guardian angels as he made his path.
John was a Christian in faith.
Arrangements are under the care of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD.
Per John’s wishes there is no viewing or services. To honor his memory, He simply asked for all to love and respect your family. Be with them or contact them as much as possible to making loving memories of your own.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
