John Edward Capan Jr.

John Edward Capan, Jr, 70, of Coolspring, passed away on Friday January 3, 2025.

He was born October 5, 1954 in Uniontown, the son of Sophie (Markusic) Capan of Hopwood and the late John Edward Capan Sr.

In addition to his father, John is preceded in death by son Michael Allen Capan and brother Dave Capan.

John is survived by his children John Edward Capan III (April) of Hopwood, and Victoria Capan (Mark) of Hopwood; grandchildren Tyson Capan of Connellsville, Audrey Swartz of Hopwood, and Adalyn Downs of Hopwood; ex-wife Sheryl; siblings William “Bill” Capan of Lemont Furnace and Robert “Bob” Capan (Debbie) of Hopwood; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a life member of Coolspring AC and a longtime member of Salem Beagle Club.

John was a retired truck driver for DLM Trucking.

Visitation will be held In the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Thursday January 9 from 2pm-6pm the hour of the funeral service with Pastor Charlie O'Brien officiating.
