Janice M. Howard, 69, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024 at home with her loving husband by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 11, 1955 in Republic, PA, the daughter of the late Augustus and Jean (LaMont) Cardarelli.
In addition to her parents, Janice is predeceased by her sister Marion Marakian.
She is survived by her loving husband Mark A. “Weasel” Howard; son Brendan Bady Howard; siblings Louis Cardarelli (Barbara) of Brownsville, Olivia Cotto of Boston MA, and Clyde Cardarelli (Paula) of Perryopolis.
She was a member of St Therese R.C. Church.
She was a graduate of Brownsville Highschool and continued her education at California State College where she earned her degree of Elementary Education in 1977 and received her masters in Reading Specialist in 1979. She taught at Jefferson Morgan Elementary for 33 years before her retirement in 2012.
Janice had a love for animals and will be sadly missed by her two dogs McGregor and Harvey and her cat Cupcake.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Monday May 13 from 3-7pm and on Tuesday May 14 from 10 until 11am when a blessing service will be held.
