Jane Ann (Cooley) Nara

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. A proud breast cancer survivor, she faced life with courage, faith, and grace.

Jane Ann (Cooley) Nara, 78, of Uniontown, passed away on Monday December 15, 2025 in Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 1, 1947, in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late Eleanor Cooley.

In addition to her mother, Jane is preceded in death by her brother John P. Cooley; sisters Margaret Cooley and Goldie Baughman; and brother-in-law Richard Baughman.

Jane is survived by her special friend David E. Baird of Uniontown; daughter Bobbi Ann Downs (Robert) of Uniontown; son Charles Nara (Nona) of Uniontown; grandchildren Toby, Bobby (Lindsey), Chuckie, and Matthew; nieces Tabby Durst (Fred), Maria Cooley; and nephew Richard Baughman (Kathy).

She cherished her family and found joy in playing bingo, drinking coffee, shopping, going out to eat, decorating for the holidays, and enjoying her favorite cookies. Known for her warmth and friendly spirit, she never met a stranger she couldn’t talk to. Her love and faith in Jesus will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, PA on Thursday December 18 from 4-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Friday December 19 from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
