Harry J. Jose, 76, of Hopwood, passed away on Saturday May 24, 2025 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1949 in Uniontown, the son of the late John R. and Helen (Metheny) Jose.
In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by two brothers Gus and Max Jose.
Harry is survived by his spouse Alverdia M. (Shoaf) Jose; children Mark A. Trinhese (Amanda) Of Dunbar, Jamie Jose (Uni) of Uniontown and Bradley J. Jose (Kathleen D.) of Uniontown; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; special friend Mark Sumey; and beloved pets Ivy, Madussa, and Mya.
He was a member of Hopwood Free Methodist Church.
He enjoyed gardening and hunting and was treasurer of Rockwell Hunting Club. He owned H&J Groceries for many years.
Harry was part of the Laurel Highland Basketball team winning the state championship in 1968 and was inducted into the Fayette County Sports Hall of Fame.
The family would like to thank WVU Hospice for their love and care for Harry.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD. All services will be held privately with the family. Interment will be held in Mountain View Cemetery.
