Gladys Sue (Bailes)Farmer age 71 of Uniontown, PA passed away January 3, 2019 in Alleghany General Hospital. She was born November 13, 1947 in Uniontown, PA. The daughter of the late James Baird Bailes and Anna (Jupina) Bailes. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers James Bailes, Lawrence Bailes, Robert Bailes, William Bailes and her sister Frances Bryner. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, she was a graduate of North Union Highschool class of 1965, she received her bachelors and masters degree from California University of PA, she was a retired school teacher from the Laurel Highlands School District. Sue loved animals especially her dogs Shae and Hobo. She is survived by her loving husband Wayne Edward Farmer Jr., her daughter Jessica Leigh Farmer and grandson Arian Lee Alston of Pittsburgh, PA. Her two sisters Edith Marie Clingan of Hopwood, PA and Patricia A. Laskey White of Uniontown, PA and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday January 6, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 and Monday January 7, 2019 until 11:00 am the hour of the service with Reverend Donald Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park Connellsville, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Friends of Westmoreland County, 216 depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697.
