Gerald A. Slampak

Gerald A. Slampak, 74, of Uniontown, passed away on November 6, 2024 at his home.

He was born September 7, 1950 in Uniontown, the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Malarik) Slampak.

In addition to his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his siblings Ronald Slampak, Teresa McClintock, and Eileen Monaghan.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife Connie (DeFazio) Slampak of Uniontown; daughters Laurel Slampak-Wyrostek (Dylan) of Pittsburgh and Sara Slampak of Pittsburgh; and grandchild Eli Wyrostek.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Nativity R.C Church.

Gerald was a graduate of Uniontown High School class of 1968. After high school he continued his education at California University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1972. He worked as a Teacher for Uniontown High School for many years.

He served in the US Army Reserve 429th Engineers as a Medic.

Gerald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R, CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Friday November 8 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 9am until prayers of transfer are held at 9:30am followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Nativity R.C. Church.
