Gerald H. Anderson

Gerald H. Anderson, 74, of Hopwood, passed away on Saturday November 9, 2024 at his home.

He was born June 12, 1950 in Brownsville, the son of the late Kenneth Gerald and Betty Lou (Shaffer) Anderson and Catherine Anderson.

In addition to his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his grandchild Jesse Provance and sister Denise North-Anderson.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife Sharon L. (Fotta) Anderson; children Shelley-Jo Madison (Allister) of Uniontown, John W. Provance of Hopwood, and Selena Mullins (Mark) of Dunbar; grandchildren Mallory Hillen (Tom) of Dunbar, Melinda Madison of Lemont Furnace, Mariah Kostelnik of Masontown, McKenzie Provance (Chase) of Smock, Samantha Harper (Christopher) of Uniontown, Sharon Carpenter (Michael) of Fairmont WV, and Jerry Barney (Matt) of Lemont Furnace; 8 great grandchildren; siblings Greg Anderson (Tammy) of Hopwood, Beth Anderson Lenkey of New Salem, Todd Anderson (Darlene) of Uniontown, Troy Anderson (Terry) of Republic, Amy Ondra (Marcus) of Uniontown, and Jason Anderson (Daniel) of Hopwood.

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, UMWA, Fairbanks Rod and Gun Club, Lemont Sports Club, and North Union VFW 8543.

Gerald was an avid hunter and fisherman and a deputy game warden. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to car shows and was the proud owner of a 1972 Plymouth Duster.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Tuesday November 12 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday November 13 from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Gary Coldren officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
