Ethel G. Jackson

Ethel G. Jackson, 96, of Ohiopyle, passed away on October 8, 2023 at home surrounded by her family's love.

She was born February 14, 1927 in Ohiopyle. She is the daughter of the late John and Beulah (Christ) Thompson.

In addition to her parents, Ethel is predeceased by her daughter Marsha Yurechko who passed on July 24, 2022; siblings, Charles Thompson, Bertha Morrison, Goldie Miller, Donald Thompson, and 2 infant siblings Paul and Martha. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ethel is survived by her husband Edward Jackson of Ohiopyle; daughter Tammy Jackson of Ohiopyle; and grandchildren Melissa Yurechko of Indianapolis, IN and Matthew Yurechko of Valparaiso IN and son in-law and Michael Yurechko of Valparaiso IN. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, great, and great great nieces and nephews.

She retired from the Mount Summit Inn and loved to take care of her family. Her favorite hobby was to clean. She loved scratch off tickets and never met a sweet treat that she didn't like. Her favorite pass time was her "stories" that she watched every weekday afternoon. She loved gazing at the moon and always had a grateful heart. She will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON on Friday October 13 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with family friend Patty Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
