Eleanor Rishel

Eleanor Robinson Rishel, 85, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on April 13, 2024, at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV. 

She was born on March 26, 1939, in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of Edgar & Nell Robinson. 

Eleanor was a faithful member of Uniontown Grace Brethren Church. 

She took care of her children, worked with her husband at Auto Parts of Uniontown and A&I Sales, and did bookkeeping for many years at Grace Brethren. 

She loved the green of the mountains, the water of the lake, and the waves of the ocean. She was a member of the Fayette Boat Club and loved being at Yough Lake boating and swimming with her family; waterskiing into her 50s. She enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. 

Eleanor was married to Buster Rishel for 58 years before his death in 2019; fifty-eight years of fun & adventure, as she is fondly remembered for her willing spirit in keeping up with Buster and his escapades. Eleanor is survived by her three children and their spouses, Lori Rishel & Ron Show of Bridgeport, WV, Darrell E. & Ladina Rishel of Lancaster County, PA, and Tim & Carrie Rishel of Perryopolis, PA. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Kayla Conneway & Ellen Goedert; Steven & Olivia Show; Emily, David & Josie, Jenna, & Ellie Rishel; Talia & Alexis Rishel; Cooper & Cohen Conneway; & Hank Show. Her sister Ruth Petcheny & brother Don Robinson. Sisters-in-law Jody Rishel, Lida Robinson, Chloe Robinson, & Denice Robinson. 

She was preceded in death by siblings Norma Ciez, Tom Robinson, Sam Robinson, and brothers-in-law Ed Petcheny & Ed Rishel. 

Friends will be received Thursday, April 18 from 6 to 8 pm in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, 1189 National Pike, Hopwood, PA 15445 and Friday April 19 at Grace Brethren Church, 1 Grace Ln, Uniontown, PA 15401 from 10 to 11am the hour of the funeral service. Internment at Brown Cemetery, Elliottsville, PA immediately following the service.
