Douglas William "Doug" Dennis

Douglas ‘Doug’ William Dennis Sr, 43 of Markleysburg left this world too soon on Thursday, November 25th 2021, Thanksgiving Day. Doug came into this world 3 months early on the 4th of July in 1978 born in Myersdale, Pa. Those who knew Doug well would say he was quite the firecracker.  

Doug was preceded in death by his high school girlfriend, Tonya McWilliams, grandparents, William & Shirley Wilson, Wesley Dennis Sr, great grandparents, 3 aunts, 2 uncles many cousins.  

Doug left behind a family who loved him dearly, his parents, Wesley & Donna (Wilson) Dennis, of Markleysburg, brother Jason Dennis, of Markleysburg & sister Angela Merschat (Seth) of Smithfield. Two sons, Douglas Dennis Jr, Cole Saunders, daughter, Brooklynn Dennis and granddaughter Paislee Dennis. Three nieces, Brylee, Taylor & Mali and two nephews, Maddox & Miles. Many aunts, uncles, cousins & his hefty four-legged sidekick LouAnn. 

Our hearts are incredibly broken and there will be a void that nothing earthly can fill. It’s no secret that Doug lived a life of struggle. He suffered many heart aches in his life time but Doug also believed in Heaven and we hold onto the hope that we will see him again one day.  

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON, PA, on Sunday, November 28th, 2021 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the hour of the service with Pastor Martin Stewart officiating the service. Interment will be private at a later date for the family.
