Donald L. Martin

Donald Larry Martin, 79, of Lemont Furnace, passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 10, 1945 in Hopwood, the son of the late Donald J. and Martha Frances (Williams) Martin.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his siblings Barbara Martin, Donna R. Martin, Lanny D. Martin, Sharon Aikens, and Robert Martin; and special aunt Zelda Eans.

Donald is survived by his loving wife Donna J. (Smalley) Martin; children Heather L. Martin Kendro of Lemont Furnace and Amy C. Martin Kish of Hopwood; grandchildren Joseph T. Kendro, Lucas J. Thomas, Aidan Z. Kendro, Carter A. Kendro, and Jacob N. Kish; siblings Judy Baer of Lisbon, OH, Marlene Host (Robert) of Mount Braddock, Gerald Martin (Cindy) of Hopwood, Ricky Martin of Uniontown, Kenneth Martin (Patty) of Corry, PA, Mark Martin (Patty) of Uniontown, and Charles Martin (Drane Zinck) of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Hopwood Free Methodist Church.

He graduated from North Union High School class of 1963 and worked for Ductmate Industries up until his retirement.

Donald served in the U.S Marines and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was also a member of Vietnam Veteran Inc.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Friday October 11 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday October 12 from 12pm until the hour of the funeral service at 1pm with Pastor Charlie O’Brien officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights cemetery with military honors to be held.
