Dolores J. (Ritz) Polito

Dolores Jean (Ritz) Polito, 91, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday October 13, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 28, 1934 in Uniontown, PA.

Dolores was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Rose Ritz.

In 1960 she married her sweetheart William F. Polito and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Dolores was the proud mother of two children, a grandmother to two amazing grandchildren and a granny to three beautiful great-grandbabies all whom were the light of her life.

Dolores was the proud owner of Polito’s Tavern where she had a gift of bringing people together. Her laugh often loud and contagious, filled every room she entered. She was a hardworking and dedicated women.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years William Polito; her son Pete McDowell of Uniontown; her daughter Debra J. King (Fred) of Uniontown; two grandchildren William K. Connors (Tatum) and Crystal J. Connors; three great-grandchildren Delaney Russell, Brantley Connors, and Brieley Connors; nephew Michael Ritz (Lisa) and many cherished friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents John Sr. and Rose Ritz; brothers John Ritz, William Ritz, Dominick Ritz; and sister Rose Yowler.

Though she is no longer with us, the memory of her kindness and the sound of her laughter will echo in our lives forever.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, PA on Friday October 17 from 9:30am until 12:30pm when prayers of transfer will be held followed by a mass of Christian burial In St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church at 1pm. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
