Delmas William “Bill” Dennis, 82, of Farmington, PA, born May 13, 1942, in Brandonville, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow W. and Faye E. (Herring) Dennis.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Beverly C. (Wilyard) Dennis; daughter Rhonda A. Mitchell Ashby (Charles) of Uniontown; sons Richard Mitchell (Sherri) of Farmington and William Shawn Dennis (and friend Kelly Gaydos) of Farmington; grandsons, Michael J. Ruby, Richard A. Ruby, Robert Doan, William Shawn Dennis II, and Dakota Allen Dennis; granddaughter Shayna Mitchell; brother Stanley Dennis (Sheryl) of Jumonville, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill entered the United States Marine Core upon High School graduation. He loved the Marine Core.
He was a member of Wharton Furnace Union Chapel Church, AMVETS, ASHE, American Legion, and AFSCME Chapter 13. He retired from Penn Dot District 12-0 with 36 years of service. He then went back and worked as a consultant for 13 years after his retirement.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, PA. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date
