Christina H. (Matthews) Yauger

Christina Hope (Matthews) Yauger, 76, of Lemont Furnace, passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at Uniontown Hospital.

She was born August 20, 1948 in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Charles Ray and Mary Ellen “Peggy” (Hall) Matthews.

In addition to her parents, Christina was preceded in death by her husband Curtis James Yauger (2014); granddaughter Felecia Yauger; sister Donna Rae Minerd; and brother Charles R. Matthews.

Christina is survived by her daughters Theresa Coddington of Masontown and Rhonda Rose (Scott Staley) of Monessen; grandchildren Justin Yauger, Autumn Luchon (Shawn), Ricky Rose Jr., and Haley Yauger; great-grandson Ian Wingard; sisters Peggy Neighbors (Joe) and Debbie Matthews (Tom); brother-in-law Mark Yauger (Kay); several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and her beloved dog Teddy.

She will be greatly missed and will be forever remembered for the love she had for her family.

She was a member of Cove Run Free Methodist Church where she was greatly involved with Gods Choice, CLC, and Vacation Bible School.

Arrangements are under the care of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday December 6 at 12pm in Cover Run Free Methodist Church.
