Charles “Chuck” Coddington, Sr., 80, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at home after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 3, 1944, the son of the late Theodore and Mary Ellen Coddington of Friendsville.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his siblings Ray Coddington, Clarence Coddington, Lillian Myers, Jean Beachy, and Goldie Herring; and brother-in-law Clifton Dewitt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Barbara Coddington; daughter Jean Cesarino (Tom) of Farmington; son Charles “Buzz” Coddington (Kathy) of Farmington; Five Grandchildren Tommy (Chelsea), Amanda, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, and Jordan (Brendan); brother Ralph Coddington (Darlene) of Confluence; sister-in-law Carolyn Durst of Grantsville; best friends Butch and Goldie Grimm of Connellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Chuck was a longtime employee of Troy Friend Lumber Co. in Hopwood.
Per Chuck’s request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Services will be held privately at a later date.
The family would like to thank Fayette EMS, Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, Markleysburg Fire Department/ALS for their help and support, and the best neighbor Loren Hughes and family for their help and support.
