Charles David Pinkney Sr., 69 of Uniontown passed away on February 16, 2026 at his home.
He was born October 16, 1956 in Uniontown, PA, the son of the late George Warren and Jean (Perkins) Pinkney.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his son Sgt. Charles “Chas” D. Pinkney Jr. and sister Linda Santello.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Debra (Miller) Pinkney; children Melissa Judy (Daniel) of Norvelt, Christina Saunders (Christopher) of Connellsville and Chelsie Skovira of Altoona; grandchildren Kadance, Cameron, Charlie, Christian, Colin, Wyatt, and Gabriella; siblings Colleen Padovich of Uniontown, Judy Myers of Uniontown, George Pinkey, Curtis Pinkney of Texas and Amy Pinkney of Ohio.
Charles was a member of UMWA and a retired coalminer with Gateway Mine.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Thursday February 19 from 2-7pm. Additional visitation will be held on Friday from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor David Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
