Carol Jayne (Grover) VanKirk

Carol Jayne Grover VanKirk, 81 of Uniontown, Pa passed away Sunday June 2, 2024, in Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born April 7, 1943, at Ohiopyle, Pa the daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth (Rush) Grover. 

Surviving is her daughter Rachel Dukich (Tony) of Maryland, a grandson Logan of Maryland, her significant other Sanford Black, two sisters and a brother, Sarann Grover of Ohiopyle, Marjorie Durschlag (Richard) of Gibbon Glade, Pa. and DeWayne Grover (Sherry) of Towanda, Pa., five nieces, one nephew, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Carol was a member of Meadow Run Community Church where she was very active for many years. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor.  She belonged to the Ohiopyle Grange #1933 and the Mt. Citizens Action Group.

Carol volunteered at the Uniontown Hospital for many years in Same Day Surgery as well as driving the shuttle for people for numerous reasons.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00AM the hour of the service with Pastor Mark Berkshire officiating.  Interment will follow in Irwin Memorial Cemetery, Ohiopyle, Pa.
