Bernard J. Gioia

Bernard J. Gioia, 76, of Ohiopyle, passed away on Friday September 19, 2025 at his home.

He was born April 14, 1949 in McKeesport, PA, the son of the late Nicholas B. and Anna Mae (Billick) Gioia.

Bernard is survived by his Wife Nancy L. (Glotfelty) Gioia; children Bernard J. Gioia (Christina) of Plum Boro, PA and Jennifer Gioia (Rob Eversole) of Glassport, PA; grandchildren Amanda Gioia, Melina Gioia, Tiffany Fine, Ashley Fine, and Robbie Eversole; 4 great-grandchildren; and siblings Gary Gioia (Debbie) of Elizabeth, PA and Donna Petruski (Dave) of Elizabeth, PA.

Bernard was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy as a SeaBee.

He graduated from South Allegheny High School class of 1967. He was self-employed as a coal stripper and later as a timber purchaser and logger.

Bernard enjoyed hunting, especially out west.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, PA on Wednesday September 24 from 10am-12pm. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
