Ada Amandola Obituary

Ada Cecille (Coville) (Paroda) Amandola, 100, of Uniontown completed her mortal journey on Thursday February 22, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

By the grace and tender mercy of God, Ada recently celebrated 100 years of life on earth. She was born January 16, 1924, the daughter of the late William Coville and Elvira (Pallotta) Coville.

In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her husbands Carl (Curly) Paroda and Louis Amandola; son Kenneth G. Paroda; brothers Rock Coville, Domenick (Ming) Coville, James (Kitty) Coville; and sister JoAnn (Coville) Malik.

Ada was a member of the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church and was active in several organizations including Catholic Women Auxiliary, AMVETS, and The Flower Bowling League among others. She also served as a teacher’s aide at Hatfield Elementary school. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and games of chance, and spending time with her family at reunions. Her greatest passion was coordinating and attending group bus trips to various places which she did up until 2022.

Ada was a loving mother and grandmother. Her legacy continues through her surviving posterity; children Carl D. Paroda and Loretta Jean (Paroda) Weisbarth both of Uniontown; grandsons Carl J. Paroda and wife Maria Celia of Perryopolis, Larry Jay Weisbarth of Uniontown, Brian Paroda and wife Terri of Mclellandtown, and Kenneth Paroda; granddaughters Ninette (Weisbarth) Stowe and husband Tim of Merrittstown, Katrina Weisbarth of Uniontown, and Kimberly (Paroda) Pegg; sister Sarah Jane Hanzely of Aurora OH; sister-in-law Ellen Coville of Uniontown; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

We, the family of Ada, would like to express our sincere heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff of the Uniontown Hospital, especially the third floor West Unit, for the care they provided to our mother and grandmother during her final days on earth.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD.
