William Ray Dixon, 71 of Markleysburg, Pa. passed away Thursday December 6, 2018 in Ruby Memorial hospital, Morgantown W.va. He was born June 1, 1947 in Elliottsville, Pa. He is the son of the late Clair and Elsie {Brant} Dixon. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother-in-law Jim Lukehart.
Surviving are his wife Lena {Dressel} Dixon and five children, William Ray Dixon, Jr. {Heather} of Windsor, Ohio, Angelene Riggin {Martin} of Merrittstown, pa. Eric Dixon of Merrittstown, Brianna Spiker{Todd} Hopwood, James Baker {Brittanie of Confluence, Pa. Twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren. Two stepsons, Danny Williams of Farmington, Tony Williams of Connellsville and best friend Larry Lear, Five siblings, Martha Bowman {sandy} of W. Va., Bonnie Lukehart of Fairchance,
Wallace Dixon {Joan}, Wanda Stotler {Butch} and Chris Kerns {Kevin} all of Bloomery, W.Va.
He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for U.S. Steel, he was a Class A welder 18 rods and a logger. He was a avid hunter and fisherman.
Services were held Saturday December 8 in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON.
