Marie Katherine katz

Marie Katherine Katz of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 23, 2018 in Mount Macrina Manor after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. She was born on November 8, 1936, the daughter of William M. Bednarik and Anna Guley Bednarik. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris Katz, and a brother William, a nephew James Doman ,  a niece Marjorie Zack. Marie retired in 1993 after 40 years employment with Davidson Tucker Oral Surgery Associates. She was a member of the Tree of Life Sisterhood and the Uniontown YMCA.

She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Doman and Lillian Mesco,  a sister in law Shirley Bednarik and a special niece and godchild, Deborah Wilson and husband Ron whom she loved like a son and a special nephew James Mesco and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, Marlene Meek, Ken Doman, Carolyn Robatin, William Doman, Russ Doman, Bonnie Brockmeyer, Leann Rogers, and a special godson Scott Robatin and may great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Pink and Andria Miller for all of Marie’s care the past month and Amedysis Hospice as well as Mount Saint Macrina Manor for there great care.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Crawford Funeral Home in Hopwood, Pennsylvania. There will be no visitation. Internment and graveside burial services will be at the Holy Society Cemetary, Bennington Road, Hopwwod Pennsylvania.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diskin Orphanage whose address can be obtained from the Crawford Funeral Home or to the Uniontown Public Library.
