J. William Rittenhouse Sr. age 92 of Uniontown passed away Saturday December, 15th 2018 with his family by his side. He was born July 3, 1926 on the family farm in Franklin Twp. Son of  the late Otis Wylie and Francis Dunn Rittenhouse. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Marian (Ootsie) and brothers Wylie, Lee, and Ronald. Bill was a graduate of Uniontown Senior Highschool class of 1944 and  was a member of Saint Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, former member and president of the Fayette County Fair Board, Laurel Lodge #651 F&AM, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection and Scottish Right of Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Uniontown Planning Commission, former member and president of the Uniontown exchange club and investment club. Bill was former owner of Rittenhouse Insurance Agency, a life time farmer and member of Pennsylvania Auctioneer Association. He is survived by his son J. William Rittenhouse Jr. and wife Deborah, a daughter Sally Rittenhouse Wallace, grandchildren Dr. David Rittenhouse and wife Helen, Carrie Thomas and husband Charles, Emily Parker and husband Dave, Elizabeth Fiano and husband Victor. Great grandchildren David and Abigail Rittenhouse, Jackson and Elizabeth Parker a sister Sue Goddard and husband Jim, sister in law Nancy Lee Johnston and special nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends in Saint Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church Uniontown Tuesday December 18, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM the hour of the service with Reverend Kevin Anderson officiating. Interment in Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery. Bills family would like to thank Twin Oaks Homecare for their wonderful help.
