J. Richard Hager

J. Richard Hager, 60 of Uppermiddletown, Pa. passed away suddenly Tuesday January 15, 2019.  He was born August 24, 1958 in Uniontown, Pa the son of James Albert “Bert” Hager of Uniontown and the late Louise  {Morris} Hager.

   Surviving in addition to his father are his loving wife Carla Faye {Warner} Hager and his son Kenneth James Hager esq. and fiancé  Claire Slack of Pittsburgh, Pa.  Three sisters , Pamela Latham of Rostraver, Pa.  Jeanne Burth and husband Michael of Greensburg, Pa and Susan Harshbarger and husband Jim of Reston, Va.

   Richard was a member of Uniontown Church of the Brethern.  He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America  where he was awarded the Eagle Scout Award, Vigil Honor and Thunder Bird Honor.  He was a Lodge Adviser with Wagion Lodge #6 and Scout Master for 36 years with Troop #610.  He was a graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 1976 and received his BA. Degree in Nursing from Penn State University.  He was a Registered Nurse with Chestnut Ridge Counseling.

   Friends will be received in the DONALD  R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME HOPWOOD  Friday from 2:00 to 4;00 and 6:00 to 8:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM the hour of the service.  Interment will follow in Bethel Memorial Park Farmington, Pa.

   In lieu of flowers Memorial may be made to Westmoreland- Fayette Boy Scouts of America.  2 Garden Center Drive  Greensburg, Pa. 15601.
