Gary Friend Obituary

Gary V. Friend, 81 of Hopwood, Pa. passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at his home. He was born May 17, 1938 in Friendsville, MD the son of the late Randall and Yvonne {Hoye} Friend.

Surviving are his loving wife Loretta {Koritko} Friend. Three sons, Garry L. Friend {Shelley} of Hopwood, Greg Friend of Baltimore, MD and Grant Friend {Jennifer} of Virginia. Two grandchildren, Mason and Haden Friend. Two sisters, Janet Maust of Hopwood and Joyce Nalepko of Silver Springs, MD.

Gary was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was retired from Rockwell International and Sensus Technologies.. He was a member of Hutchinson Sportsmans Club and was an avid golfer.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME HOPWOOD Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Saturday until 11:00 AM the hour of the service with Pastor Mike Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.
