Floyd Kondrla

Floyd Kondrla age 65 of New Salem passed away at his residence on Tuesday July 30, 2019 with his loving wife by his side.

He was born August 31, 1953. He is the son of the late Fabian and Lida Victor Kondrla.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Ina Stanton, stepfather-in-law Freeman Stanton, father-in-law Paul Reese, brother in law Nick Wallace, one sister Louise Kondrla, two brothers Thomas and Jerry Kondrla, and his loving son Jonathan who he loved and misses, who passed in 2009.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife Katherine Reese Kondrla, cherished father of Joshua of Smithfield, Pa, his brothers and sisters Judy Temple (Ron), Paul Kondrla (Virginia), Vicki Kerwatski (Steve), Cindy Fisher (Terry), James Kondrla, Debbie Wallace, Jackie Bryner (Alan), Mary Angelo (Sullivan III), and Stephanie Powell (Joe), and many nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Fairchance- Georges High School in 1971. He got married to his wife Katherine Reese on his birthday August 31, 1984. He will be missed very much by all who knew him and loved him, Lauren, C.J., Lukas, Little man Aaron, Rylie, Logan and Sage.

Floyd retired from Penn-dot in April 2015, where he worked sometimes as a Foreman, Laborer, Snow plow driver and operating heavy equipment. He loved to watch cooking shows and love cooking, taking rides with his family and proud to show off his work for the state. He accepted Jesus into his heart and went to be with his lord and savior.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Thursday August 1, 2019 from 2-8pm and Friday August 2, 2019 until 11:00am the hour of the service with Reverend Dale Rexrode officiating. Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery.
