Darrell W. Rishel, better known as Buster, 84, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 31st, at Uniontown Hospital.
He was born on June 24, 1935 in Farmington, PA, the son of Ralph Rishel and Pearl Marie Lake Rishel Michener.
He was a member of the Uniontown Grace Brethren Church, previously serving as Trustee. In his later years, he was a member of the Gideons.
Buster was owner of Auto Parts of Uniontown and co-owner of A&I Fire Extinguisher Sales and Service. He was President of the Fayette Boat Club for many years. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Buster was known for FUN. He loved to boat on the Yough Lake with his wife and family. He enjoyed many activities in his younger years including waterskiing, swimming, flying, camping, bowling, hunting, the beach, traveling, the mountains of Fayette County, and just about any form of racing.
Buster was a good provider, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, friend, employer, and neighbor. Fair in business; generous to many. He often went above and beyond for his customers.
Mr. Rishel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor Robinson Rishel of Uniontown; his three children; Lori Rishel Show and husband Ron of Bridgeport, WV, Darrell E. Rishel and his wife Ladina of Lancaster County, PA, and Timothy J. Rishel and his wife Carrie of Perryopolis, PA. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Kayla Show Conneway, Steven T. Show and his wife Olivia; Emily Pearl, David Elliot, Jenna Rose, & Ellie Joy Rishel; Talia Julianne & Alexis Grace Rishel; and Cooper Liam and Cohen Layne Conneway. His sisters-in-law Jody Rishel, Lida Robinson, and Ruth Petcheny. His brothers-in-law Sam Robinson and his wife Chloe & Don Robinson and his wife Denice. And, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother Edward E. Rishel of Granada Hills, California.
Friends will be received Mon. from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on at Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, 1189 National Pike, Hopwood, PA 15445.
