Agnes Yablunosky

Agnes (Lukasik) Yablunosky, passed on Holy Saturday March 30, 2024. She was 91 years old.

Agnes was born in 1932 in Royal Pennsylvania. She is defined by her life’s work, her family, and by her life’s motto that other people matter. 

As a person she was married, had children, siblings, friends, and she was a businesswoman. She worked 30 years at GMAC, where she was a credit supervisor. Agnes spent her life serving her community. She volunteered at Meals on Wheels, the Saint Vincent Store, and as an Income Tax Preparer for over 20 years. She was a member at Saint Mary’s Nativity Church where she participated in Christian Mothers, Our Ladies of Charity and in the Lazarus Ministry. Agnes was an avid reader, loved to spend time with her family, volunteering and serving her community, and was an expert pastry chef. 

In mourning are her family including her daughter Donna Palermo (Ed) and son Bobby Yablunsky (Eugenia); her sister Mary Smolley and brother Frank Lukasik (Ginny); her sister-in-law Mary Yablunosky; her grandchildren Jason Palermo (Sarah), Sean Yablunsky (Joyna), Brian Palermo, David Palermo (Kristen), Joel Yablunsky (Kelcie), Krista Yablunsky (Robb) and Tyler Palermo (Savannah); and her great granddaughter Savannah Palermo.

Previously deceased are her parents Frank and Agnes (Oczek), her husband Robert Yablunosky and her sisters Genevieve Diffee and Helen Mercedes.

Family and friends will be received in the Donald R. Crawford funeral home, Hopwood on Tuesday April 2 from 2pm - 7pm including a Prayer service and on Wednesday April 3 at 9:30am when prayers of transfer will be held followed by a 10am mass at Saint Joseph’s Church, Uniontown. Interment will follow at Mount Macrina Cemetery.

Friends will meet afterward.
