Edwin P. Haines

Edwin P. Haines age 92 of Gibbon Glade, PA passed away, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home.  He was born September 19, 1925 in Wharton Township, Pa, son of the late Cloyd and Zelphia Cupp Haines.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth “Libbey Pyro Haines, a son Rodney Haines, a grand daughter Jennifer Haines, a brother Fred Haines, a sister Doris Lake and mother and father in law Andy and Myrtle Pyro.

Mr. Haines served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, he was a retired foreman for Penn Line Service. He was a life member of Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, a life member of Wharton Township Hunting and Fishing Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his children Linda Haines Tissue of Farmington, Edwin Haines, Jr. of Gibbon Glade, Douglas Haines and wife Dora of Farmington, Lana Haines Fleming and husband Larry of Farmington, nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, PA, Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm, Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday from 10 to 11 am the hour of service with Reverend Charles Teets officiating.  Interment in Thomas Cemetery

Military Rites and Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by Amvets Post 103

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Farmington Volunteer Fire Department.
